HOW IT ALL STARTED
While leaving a family gathering, Liz turned to Preston and said, "My cousin said she never heard those stories that grandma was telling. She loved hearing them." In that moment, Preston found a passion to help families cherish the stories of their senior members, by asking the right questions. Together with his family, he interviewed his grandfather while a videographer recorded every word. His family and grandparents later gathered to celebrate their lives by watching the finished film. Family members shared what they appreciated about grandma and grandpa. Preston's grandmother said with tears, "Well you sure know how to give us the roses while we live." Two years later his grandfather passed away. At the funeral a great-aunt told Preston with tears, "Thank you for making this film." In the years since grandpa's passing, the film has become a priceless family treasure. Now Preston's children can hear the story of their great-grandfather in the medium they connect easily with - film. Preston and Liz are passionate about helping other families create such a family treasure for their senior members.
